[Theme music plays, accompanied by a montage of various hospital scenes featuring the hospital staff in silly situations, all ending with the same patient, MR. MORTIMER, dying in a new, absurd way each time.]
EPISODE 4: "The Mysterious Mime Mayhem"
[DR. FUMBLE enters MR. MORTIMER's hospital room, accidentally knocking over a tray of medical instruments. MR. MORTIMER lies in bed, dressed as a mime, with his face painted white and unable to speak.]
DR. FUMBLE
(crashing into the room)
Mortimer! You've returned! What's the story this time?
MR. MORTIMER
(trying to speak but can't)
...
NURSE NUTTY enters the room, also dressed as a mime, carrying an invisible box.
NURSE NUTTY
(whispering)
Dr. Fumble, Mortimer joined a mime troupe, but he accidentally swallowed an industrial-strength mime pill! Now he can't speak or remove his makeup!
DR. FUMBLE
(concerned)
We must find a way to reverse the effects before he's trapped in this silent world forever!
NURSE NUTTY
(whispering)
I have an idea, Dr. Fumble! We'll use the power of laughter to break the mime spell!
[DR. FUMBLE and NURSE NUTTY begin performing slapstick comedy routines, trying to make MR. MORTIMER laugh. They slip on banana peels, accidentally poke each other with syringes, and make funny faces.]
MR. MORTIMER
(struggling to laugh)
...
[Finally, after an absurdly elaborate routine involving a rubber chicken, MR. MORTIMER bursts into laughter. His mime makeup disappears, and he can speak again.]
MR. MORTIMER
(laughing)
Oh, thank you, Dr. Fumble and Nurse Nutty! I can finally talk again!
DR. FUMBLE
(cheerful)
We did it! You're cured, Mortimer!
[Suddenly, a group of angry mimes storms into the hospital room, upset that MR. MORTIMER is no longer one of them. They begin performing invisible tug-of-war with MR. MORTIMER, trying to pull him back into the mime world.]
NURSE NUTTY
(shouting)
Oh no! The mimes are taking Mortimer back!
DR. FUMBLE
(determined)
Not on my watch! Nurse Nutty, grab some seltzer water and cream pies! It's time for a mime battle!
[NURSE NUTTY and DR. FUMBLE fend off the mimes with seltzer water and cream pies, but in the chaos, MR. MORTIMER is accidentally hit by a cream pie, causing him to choke and collapse.]
DR. FUMBLE
(panicking)
Mortimer, no! Not again!
NURSE NUTTY
(tearfully)
He died doing what he loved... making people laugh.
[The camera pans out as the hospital staff gather in the room, mourning MR. MORTIMER's death, while "Send in the Clowns" plays softly in the background.]
